Regular Grade Supply

Use the Grade Already Specified by the Project

We regularly supply the grades below across stainless plate, coil, pipe and bar routes. The final product standard still depends on whether the buyer needs flat steel, pipe / tube or solid bar.

Regular Austenitic

201 / 304 / 304L

201304304L

Common factory and mill supply grades across plate, coil, pipe and bar purchasing.

316-Series

316 / 316L

316316L

Supplied when the drawing or project specifically calls for the 316-series route.

Project / Temperature Grades

309 / 309S / 321

309309S321

Quoted from the actual project, temperature and fabrication requirement.

Duplex / Other Routes

2205 / 410 / 904

2205410904

These grades follow different material and manufacturing routes and are not grouped as ordinary 300-series stock.

One Important Check

The Same Grade Does Not Mean the Same Product Standard

A 316L plate, 316L pipe and 316L bar can all use the same familiar grade name, but the product standard, factory process, dimensional requirements and inspection route are different. We confirm the correct product-specific route before quotation.

Surface Capability

Stainless Steel Surface Is Part of the Order

Our stainless steel factory processing routes include regular mill finishes, polished and brushed finishes, mirror and decorative surfaces, plus post-fabrication treatments where required.

No.1Industrial hot-rolled plate / coil surface route.
2D / 2BCommon cold-rolled matte or smooth sheet / coil finishes.
BABright-annealed flat stainless surface.
No.3 / No.4Polished / brushed routes with visible surface texture.
No.6 / SatinLower-reflection satin finish where specified.
HL / HairlineDirectional hairline surface for finished sheet / coil.
SBSatin / Scotch-Brite style finish.
No.8 / 8K MirrorHighly polished reflective surface.
DecorativeVibration, bead blasted, etched, embossed and PVD-colored routes.
Post TreatmentPickling, passivation and electropolishing where the order requires them.
Stainless steel surface finish and treatment capability
Finish, protective film and post-treatment are separate requirements.

For example, a buyer can order 304 sheet with No.4 finish and protective film, or 316L pipe with a polished surface plus passivation. Put each requirement on the RFQ separately.

Manufacturer & Factory Supply

Mill Material and Factory Processing Are Matched to the Order

Sino Steel works as a stainless steel supplier across mill sourcing and factory processing. The manufacturing source, finish route and processing method are selected from grade, product form, quantity and final delivery requirement.

01

Mill / Manufacturer Source

Grade, size and product standard determine which mill or manufacturer route is suitable.

02

Factory Surface Processing

Polishing, brushing, mirror finishing, protective film and post-treatment are arranged only where the order needs them.

03

Factory Cutting & Preparation

Plate cutting, coil slitting, pipe cutting and bar saw cutting can be arranged before shipment.

04

Finished-Product Review

Inspection follows the product after factory processing, not only the original mill material.

Inspection & Traceability

PMI Supports Alloy Identity; MTC Carries the Broader Material Record

Stainless steel inspection is not only about a bright surface. The supplier needs to connect the physical material, grade, dimensions, factory processing and mill documentation to the confirmed order.

01

Grade / Product Check

Confirm the grade, product form and applicable manufacturing route before release.

02

PMI Where Required

Useful where 304 / 316, 2205, 904 or mixed stainless material creates a real alloy-identification risk.

03

MTC & Heat Identity

Mill / manufacturer records stay linked to the heat, coil, plate, pipe batch or original bar.

04

Processing Traceability

Cutting, slitting, polishing or repacking should not disconnect the finished material from the original identity required by the order.

Basic Processing

Prepare the Stainless Material for the Buyer’s Next Step

Processing remains secondary to material supply, but factory preparation can reduce the buyer's next cutting, slitting, polishing or machining step.

01

Plate / Sheet

Cut-to-size, surface finishing, protective film and selected post-treatment.

02

Coil

Slitting, cut-to-length, surface processing and protective-film routes.

03

Pipe / Tube

Cutting, end preparation, polishing, pickling, passivation and testing where required.

04

Bar

Saw cutting, peeled / ground / polished finishes and machining-blank preparation.

Export Packing

Protect the Surface the Buyer Actually Ordered

Stainless steel factory packing should follow the product form and surface condition. A heavy No.1 plate, 8K sheet, polished tube and ground bar need different contact and protection methods.

01

Plate / Sheet

Heavy plate uses stable support; finished sheet may need film, clean separators, edge and moisture protection.

02

Coil

Coil support, edge protection, wrapping and anti-rolling control change with finish and slit width.

03

Pipe / Tube

Industrial pipe can be bundled; polished or mirror tube needs cleaner surface contact and end protection.

04

Bar

Long bars use multi-point support; peeled, ground or polished bars may need additional surface separation and wrapping.

Ordering Questions

Questions Buyers Ask a Stainless Steel Manufacturer

Which stainless steel products can your factory supply?

We supply stainless steel plate / sheet, coil, pipe / tube and bar. Each product has its own grade, size, finish, processing and inspection route.

Which grades do you regularly supply?

Our regular stainless supply includes 201, 304/304L, 316/316L, 309/309S, 321, 2205, 410 and 904 across appropriate product forms.

Can your factory do mirror, brushed, decorative and PVD surfaces?

Yes. We can arrange No.4, satin, HL, SB, No.8 / 8K mirror, vibration, bead blasted, etched, embossed / patterned and PVD-colored routes on applicable flat stainless products.

Can stainless products be pickled, passivated or electropolished?

Yes, where the product and order route support the treatment. These should be specified separately from visual finishes such as 2B, No.4 or mirror.

Does PMI replace the manufacturer MTC?

No. PMI supports physical alloy identification. The MTC provides broader mill / manufacturer test information for the ordered heat or batch.
